Japan travel card
Japan is surprisingly easy to get around (despite the language barrier), so that for most travelers in particular it is not necessary to travel with a map ,
A big deal in Japan about traveling is that most larger stations have tourist information centers, the cards are fully local, resources and staff. (Call we won 't name)
, and unlike in many other countries, the employees at these TICs are friendly, helpful and will not try to put pressure on you to buy not need a tour!
But some people (including us) like looking at maps, so if you are anything like us, we recommend the following two maps:
- National Geographic Japan Adventure map : A relatively stable travel-friendly map of Japan. If there is unfolded quite large (not planning to pull it out of a train), but it's a nice card for plotting your next adventure to use
- Streetwise Tokyo . A brilliant, "travel-proof" laminated accordion-style card for Tokyo.
Google Maps can also be an incredible tool when you have Wi-Fi.
