Tsukiji Fish Market ( Tsukiji Shijo ) is one of Tokyo's top attractions - and with good reason.

It is one of the most exciting markets in the world, if you arrive early in the morning for the tuna auctions or later in the morning for a look around and a sushi breakfast.

Since we get more questions about Tsukiji than almost any other place in Tokyo, we have put together a simple guide to visit Tsukiji Market ( number one may seem obvious, but it is often overlook ) set!

1. Make sure the Tsukiji right for you

Tsukiji market - the largest fish market in the world - is an amazing place if you are a foodie, love, markets that are a photographer -. Or just enjoy visiting unique places

But if you're squeamish, do not like seafood or are not particularly like markets, you might want to skip Tsukiji (below and to articles and pictures) to be considered.

2. Visit Before the market in 2016

3. Check the calendar market before visiting

Tsukiji Market is not open every day, so make sure to confirm it, will be open if you want to visit.

In addition to the holidays and Sundays, it is usually (but not always) closed on Wednesday

4. Getting to Tsukiji. Accesses

Depending on where you are traveling, the best option is to get here, the subway go, take or take a taxi.

If you are traveling by metro, the nearest station is Tsukiji Shijo station on the Toei Oedo is subway line, and the second is closest Tsukiji- station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya subway line (a few minutes walk)

very important, it should be noted however, that you do not need to see the tuna auctions to enjoy Tsukiji Market. In fact, most people who visit Tsukiji come later in the morning, at 07.00, 08.00 or 09 o'clock.

Registration is free, but it can not be done in advance and begin promptly at 05.00 am. People start pending earlier, so to try and guarantee receipt you need to arrive as early as possible.

7. Pack light, bring cash and stay out of the way

Despite the large scale and incredible busyness, Tsukiji is a model of efficiency. But there is a very fast-paced market and as a visitor, it is up to you to out of the way.

It is to be easily distracted, to see so many amazing things, but if you do not stay alert, you could run over

Make sure to wear closed shoes -. like sneakers or boots - that can get wet

A. small bag, backpack or purse can be fine, but definitely avoid that large backpacks, luggage or other bulky objects to bring.

If arrive early for the tuna auction, make sure you wrap up warm as you can wait for a while.

If you can not move nimbly through Tsukiji crowded narrow streets in the fashion, inconvenience will be different, and will not have as much fun.
