Loving America

Loving America -

walking down the street in san jose, costa rica In the last six months or so, I have with the travel had a love / hate relationship. I still love it and want to do anything else, but in some ways I've become tired. It is a routine that is an unfortunate idea.

Fortunately, to Central America my travel plans a lot of it has changed. Before I left, I got that nervous excitement back. This kind you get when you take on your first trip through the jump. I'm like a kid in a candy store. I enjoy myself thoroughly here. San Jose was a bit of a dump, but travel to the Caribbean coast was everything I. In Remembrance lush jungles, beautiful beaches, tons of wildlife and friendly locals Well, I'm in Bocas del Toro in Panama and relax in what is the coolest place I had in a long time.

Latin America has a certain feel to it, which are found nowhere else in the world. There is a fiery sense of life and the locals friendliness here. It's exciting, and there is a constant sense of movement and passion all over the place. ( Note : This is not the first time in this part of the world I went to Costa Rica on a tour in 03 and spent a month in Belize and Guatemala in 05 ..)

After a few weeks traveling around Central America, I can say that I'm all suffer from "plan to much-itis" repeatedly. I feel like I did when I took on my first round the world trip in attack. I have a blast, and my mind racing again with possible places and travel, wishing I use. Can I squeeze a trip to Japan before I go to Eastern Europe? Should I skip NYC and stay here longer? How can I add to my boyfriend's birthday in a trip to Las Vegas? Should I go to Ireland or Scandinavia? How can I get the Darien region of Panama down and still have time for remote Osa Peninsula Costa Rica? And above all, how many bananas I might be able to eat?

I think I just needed something new to my love to revitalize the travel. When things become routine, they can often become a bit boring, and when things are boring, we lose interest in them. Variety is the spice of life, and when we travel to the same places over and over again, these places become part of our routine, and we lose a bit of that excitement to travel ourselves primarily drives.

The same can be said about the home life. Think about your work. First, it's great. It is new, exciting and fresh. But after doing it for a while, day after day, it is tedious and boring. Start elsewhere of life dream of traveling or gardening. We are at work, but we checked out a long time ago. Although we love what we do, we still have days that feel like grind. When I worked in the corporate world, many of the people who I knew loved what they were doing. They never wanted to do anything else, but they would love a little break from it from time to time.

diversity is what keeps life interesting. If you travel for a long time, especially for a long continuous stretch of time, you can get "just another" syndrome. It's just another waterfall, just another town, just another temple. It happens to the best of us. One of my favorite parts of the trip film is a card for Saturday , when many of the travelers are also talking about interviewed burn from travel and how they need "to take a break" and stay somewhere for a set bit.

This is exactly what happened to me. I was on the road again to do the same places, the same activity, to see the same places, and go to the same parties. But now, it all feels different. Yes, that's another Tortuguero jungle, San José to another city, and where I am now, is just another beach. But they are all different from what I'm used to, because they're all new places to me. You are my choice.

When something loses its luster, you must make a change, especially if you still love what you do. Traveling is great, and I never want to do anything else. But if you do not make a change, your negative feelings will grow, and you are the thing you hate to love.

If the burnout occurs when the "just one more" feeling arises in us, we need to stop, relax and take a break. It does not matter whether you are in Burma or Boston, in a hostel or in your office. Take a vacation from whatever it is you do, or something new to spice things up. Maybe somewhere that means learning a new language, volunteering overseas work, or in the world to a field, in the direction where everything is different, and everything is fresh.
