Departure for Europe
In a few hours I will be heading to the airport for my flight to Spain to climb. Spain is the start of another long round travel around the world. After three years did it, I finally happy to throw my schedule with La Tomatina to time and will be at the event tomatoes on Wednesday. But Spain is only the beginning.
After Spain, I'll be heading east through France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. I have to make a few stops in Sweden and Austria. Overall, this trip will take about three months, after which I plan on going to New Zealand and Australia. I have no appointments and no route for any of it, though. I did not really travel a plan, and I will move as quickly or as slowly as I feel is necessary. This trip will allow me, many of the people to see, I have not seen for years, while a few new countries to see on the way.
But what really excites me what I plan to do with this trip. One of my weaknesses has always been a shortage of notes. I tried to recognize only recently write a review to Edinburgh, I have all forgotten, interesting stories, and my journal was a little short on details. Not this time. This time I plan to uncover much more down to the letter and more facts and stories for the blog posts. It's time to bring the writing to a whole new level. it is
More importantly time, in the words of Emril "kick it up a notch." Soon you will be see video blog entries on the subject site. I have no idea how my camcorder to use yet, but if I find out, you can expect a lot of videos. I plan target video-mini shows on shooting trip through the different cities. I'm toying with the idea of creating an ongoing documentation of long-term travel. I want to interview several travelers on the road and talk about why we go, what we do, and the experience that we have. I just need the logistics to find that out.
While I have fun to come home, I'm an eternal nomad. Traveling is in my DNA. I am ready to finally hit back on the road. Two months are to be still a long time for me, and I am even more of the secrets to offer this great planet has unearthing.
