A Traveller Manifesto: travel rules Live By
As travelers in the world, we have a unique opportunity to break down barriers, promote cultural exchanges, and create a positive impact on communities around the world. We can banish stereotypes of our own cultures, stimulate the local economy, and bring new ideas and perspectives to places
Travel may be a life-changing thing -. Not only for the destination you visit, but also for themselves. We go a better version of yourself and away with a better understanding of the world
But too often travelers are the worst to -. throwing on roads to, is repugnant to the locals, challenging courses correspond to ignore their needs and local customs. Too many travelers treat goals as their personal hedonistic gimmick.
Therefore, to have great time, promote positive social exchange to get the most out of travel, and ingenious, I say that we take the following pledge, so we can people other travelers want, to know, and the locals do not hate:
1. I read about where I'm going before I get there.
2. I will be respectful of the local cultures and customs.
3. I'm going to eat the local food.
4. I'm going to learn a few phrases in the local language.
5. I will one thing I try to have fear.
6. I will not turn fairness in a competition, because travel is not a race to the bottom.
7. I will not haggle over less than a dollar.
8. I'm not a loud, obnoxious travelers who demands that the locals meet to my values.
9. I'll be patient.
10. I'm modest.
11 I will no regrets about party until dawn, but I will be respectful of my hostel roommates and their sleep.
12. I will learn to hold my liquor.
13. I'll understand Traveling is not an excuse for personal hygiene to dispense.
14. I do not ask passengers the same questions over and over again and instead they will know beyond where they're going, where they've been, and how long they are on the road for.
15. I will not go into a competitive turn, since it is a personal experience.
16 I will not tell people how many places I've been, because nobody cares except me.
17. I do not want to whine about how an object was so much better ten years ago, I will listen to those who do.
18 I do not want people to judge by how often they return to a destination.
19. I'm not a smugly superior backpackers and judge others as they travel.
20 I will not judge people for not lightweight packaging or comfort eat when homesickness.
21 I'll remember Facebook get, put my camera down, and enjoy the moment.
22. I will travel slowly.
23 I will not regret about the plans at the last minute to change.
24 I will go my heart desires in every direction and follow my wanderlust.
25 I'll remember that's a privilege.
26 I'm stupid for everyone, awesome, unexpected, stunning moment in the street and all the wonderful people be grateful that enrich my life.
