Great Reasons to Visit New Zealand
New Zealand faraway place ensures that its natural beauty is protected from the hordes of tourists who would overwhelm this place when it was easy to receive. True, New Zealand Size has been exposed as The Lord of the Rings , but surprisingly few people make their way down here in the world of movies. But with places and activities such as those listed below, New Zealand is clearly worth any journey:
Abel Tasman National Park
The step in Abel Tasman's some way as in Thailand to contact. The beautiful beaches and azure waters feel like they belong in the tropics, not New Zealand. Hiking is beautiful, with huge ferns, trees and a large air. There are a lot of one- to three-day hikes here. But if you really want to see this park, kayak around. In this way you can explore the tiny coves and beaches, which make the area so special. This park is best known as an overnight or multi-day trip, as described by Nelson too far is really to do in a day.
Glacier Trekking
There you are not many opportunities to hike glaciers in the world and to the Fox and Franz Josef Glacier Trekking up is something that every traveler should only. While the glaciers are heavily touristed, the experience lives up to the hype (though the Fox Glacier something less touristy). Yes, you walk on the ice, but it is a surprisingly cool experience, and you can even climb down and through tunnels in the glaciers.
Extreme Sports
New Zealand is the adventure capital of the world. From bungee jumping to skydiving to whitewater rafting, most people come to visit New Zealand and blow their budgets for a wide range of exciting activities. I enjoyed swinging the gorge, the caving, hiking and zip lining. There are a million activities, and if you love adrenaline, New Zealand is your dream destination.
Tongariro Crossing
the best day hike in all Considered New Zealand, the crossing will take you where they filmed Mordor in the Lord of the Rings . The 19.4 km long hike is easy on parts and steep on other, especially after the "Mount Doom." But in spite of aching legs, through this space-like environment of volcanoes, red colored country on foot, and sulfur was the highlight of my whole time in New Zealand. Even if you are not a strong hiker Tongariro Crossing is easily doable, though expect your legs to be very sore for the next few days.
Maori Culture
Maori culture is a fascinating and important part of New Zealand life and history. My love of their culture began with the film Whale Rider , and I have to learn about their history culture with great pleasure, and situation. Maoris are a friendly and proud people, and there was not a Maori person I met, I did not like. I no longer time only regret spending to learn about the culture. Rotorua is seen usually the most important place all cultural shows.
Wellington
Wellington has character. Everybody talks about Auckland (which contrary to popular belief, is not the capital), but the real magic takes place in Wellington (the capital). The architecture and the eclectic atmosphere give the city a great personality that should not be missed. There is a great nightlife, a concentrated center, and a beautiful harbor. I would Wellie over Auckland at any time.
Firefly
Definitely one of the coolest things I did while in New Zealand, the worm Cave Waitomo is glowing hyped and touristy but amazing as you walk in darkness or rappel and float the (very cold) river, while gazing into caves in covered "lights." It's like the stars. I found the three-hour drive long enough, but if you want to rappel, you should consider the five-hour trip into consideration. This experience is one of my lasting memories of my trip to New Zealand.
Queenstown
Everyone hypes to Queenstown. Each. But Queenstown is everything they say it is and more. I can not get enough to express my love of Queenstown. Queenstown looks more like a mountain town in Canada as a city in New Zealand. It is surrounded by beautiful mountains, has an amazing sea and tiny pedestrian streets. There is a great atmosphere and energy in this city. Most travelers come here because it's a big party scene and most of the extreme sports that I mentioned above here, including the famous 417 meter Nevis Bungee Jump.
Taupo
By far my favorite place here, I ended up visiting twice and always had to have to force myself. Taupo has many great walks, a beautiful lake for fishing, and is the base for the Tongariro Crossing jumps. It lacks the energy Queenstown has, but certainly not lacking in beauty. Taupo is my third favorite city in New Zealand, and I stayed weeks there because I loved it so good.
The Lord of the Rings
If you're a the Lord of the Rings Junkie, New Zealand, perfect for you. This is where they have all the shooting, and you can take put LOTR tours around the country and visit the place where Frodo the One Ring destroyed, where the forests are, and where Gondor , Most of the sets were torn down, but a little of the Shire still remains in the North Island and you can still see some of the Hobbit houses on the North Island.
This list only scratches the surface of what there is to see in New Zealand and do. In a country full of adventure and wildlife, everyone will find something here. Travelers rarely ill have to say something about the country, and, as you can see, there is good reason for that.
to do For more information about traveling through this country, costs and things that visit, my guide travel to New Zealand.
