If a sumo tournament to participate you have the opportunity to sit in the modern stadium-style chair seats or on traditional Japanese style soil pillow.
for the full Japanese experience, we recommend the latter, but if you are very large and / or worried about sitting on the floor (albeit at rest) for relatively long periods of time you prefer, can for the chair -style decide seat.
to decide, we have the following key information about each seat option together.

Arena-style chair seats
If you hesitant to sit in Japanese style, with cushions on the floor, then arena-style seating is the best option be.
In addition to the convenience of a chair, which are also the least expensive seats in the Sumo tournament venues.
The disadvantage is that they are the furthest back from the action. However Sumo tournaments are small enough that dohyo (the ring) is never too far (if you are concerned to see to bring able binoculars is a good idea).
Arena-style seats are in A, B and C categories, where A and C near the farthest from the dohyo . Rates from about 4,000 yen ¥ 9,000 range.
Box Floor Seats
Box bottom seat is perfect if you are looking for a totally Japanese experience. You take off your shoes and sit in the Japanese style on cushions.
box floor seats offer a great vantage point to witness the action. All box floor seats are closer to the action than the arena-style seats described above.
The only thing of to be careful when it comes to style box is seating, the room is very small, so that even though most speakers are designed 4 people, opt many people this 4-person boxes to split between two people
When large -. or just enough room to stretch your legs a bit - this is a good idea, because there are things much more convenient.
may Unlike Arena make seats, boxes sold per box , not per person. , They come in a variety of sizes, especially for groups designed in the range of 2-6 persons
It is not possible to buy a single room in a box - you need to purchase the whole field. They are available in A, B and C categories, where A and C near the farthest from the Dohyo . Prices range from about 10,000 to 12,000 yen per person.

Tournament Day
Sumo an all-day affair, but most viewers skip the morning matches and in the middle of the afternoon to arrive, when the higher-ranked Rikishi (Ringer) their games begin.
When you arrive in the morning you will find a relatively empty venue, but you will be able to see some of the lower-ranked wrestlers climb up to today.
Unless you want to spend the whole day in sumo, we recommend in the early to mid-afternoon arrival . This is when the atmosphere begins to electrify, as the venue fills up and the most skilled wrestlers start their games.
The climax occurs when the top two wrestlers in the final game face off (right at 6: 00 pm). If you are sure that the participation to be for this part of the day there, but it is best to experience previously to obtain the complete Sumo experience at least 1-2 hours of Games Sumo.
Beer, Sake & Snacks
The Sumo experience without some beer, snacks and sake would not be complete.
It is almost a tradition to have a few drinks while the Sumo watching, though not certainly a prerequisite. You can also buy special bento boxes preorder at the event to enjoy
