Updates From the book tour! -

sunrise in asheville, north carolina
Since the sun rises in Asheville, North Carolina, it is day 12 of my cross-country tour to promote my new book How is the world to go to $ 50 per day. This is my seventh stop and I have a great time traveling in the United States, meet other travelers, the gospel of Budget Travel dissemination and attractions in my own backyard.

Since the publication of the book a few weeks ago a lot has happened, and I wanted to share some of the highlights and how you can join me on the road.

First, where do I go?

is it really costs me $ 50 a day?

So far, I spend an average of $ 50.10 USD per day. Here is the breakdown:

Accommodation: $ 142
Food: $ 248.48
Beverages: $ 37
gas: $ 82.26
Parking: $ 66
Bucks: $ 5.53
Other ( Movies, toothpaste, etc.): to find $ 20

I keep the cost low by cooking my meals, with friends, with hotel points for accommodation, CouchSurfing and free activities. An expense I did not think was the parking fees and food in my budget. I found a website that lists free parking, which I will start to use, but if someone from apps or tricks know I'm all ears.

How do I get friends on the street, start cooking more my meals (I have not done so already), and continues to CouchSurfing, I think I'll be able a little bit more, and an average of up to $ 45 this number to fall per day down. Next week I'll talk about the road trip in detail. How do I plan to do it, goals, objectives, and how I plan to save,

How to join and follow

Would you like to be involved, hosted a meet-up, when I in the city am, I have a couch, or sharing a ride somewhere? E-mail me at [email protected] with the subject line "book tour!" I'm looking for travel companions, host, tour guide, and make new friends! Do not be shy!

I'll see you on the road!
