The settled life in New York

The settled life in New York -

outside the Eiffel tower in paris
It's been almost a month since I signed my lease and took the keys. I bought a bed. I grabbed my bag, put on my clothes, and filled my fridge with food. Im done. I have roots. I have a neighborhood.

I am no longer fully nomadic.

Am I at least semi-nomadic? I do not even know.

People always ask me when my next trip. "I do not know," I tell them.

I'm currently on my book tour until April and will then be in Europe in May.

But since this work related, I do not see it as a real "pleasure" trip.

There is nothing planned with a strange feeling. For the first time in many years, I have no idea where or when I'm going to the next.

All this Holiday Ideas are raised repeatedly in and out of my head.

Then I see my schedule and think When will I have time to go to these places? When did I become so an adult with a current schedule?

Maybe it's good, though. I can adapt slowly, so as not to be constantly on the road.

There has not been as difficult as I thought. I have no desire after JFK and board had the flight. I have not become antsy.

, has the most difficult part of a routine developed in part because I am here, then there, and then back here. I eat better (although the pizzeria next door makes it difficult), but I have not joined a gym. I have not been to develop a good work plan, managed. I find myself working long days, because I do nothing else. to have I'm running to be used to match at the same time in sightseeing and work. Now I'm on Facebook, watch TV my roommate, and then ask, "Where did the day go," Because I have nothing to force me to be productive.

This is something I have to work. New York City has so much to do that I need to manage my time better, so I do not let the days fly.

down when slowing taught one thing has me, it's that I do not slow down.

I need to be busy.

I need action.

I have to better my time to manage.

Because I should never waste a day in the city that never sleeps.
