The Saturday Cities I Do not Like -

Back in 08, I wrote about some of the cities in the world have I do not like. Since then I have been a lot more places in the world. I liked about 99% of them. But you can not be very happy. While I always try to look for the good in place and fair my judgment, sometimes I like to only one place. Places like this:

Auckland

Auckland is not a bad city. It's just boring. Sure it might be different if you live here or have a car, but Auckland is missing a soul. It is a sprawling city of buildings and is placed in the suburbs of business. It has very little character. It is to spend a nice place for a day, but I'll take any day they Wellington or Queenstown.

Athens

Crowded, dirty, ugly, and prone to riots, I have no love for Athens. It's just awful. Even my Athenian friends do not like it. There is rubbish everywhere. It smells. And the Greeks could take some lessons from the Italians on preserving ruins, not much to say, because the Italians do a pretty poor job as it is. I have to just say anything good about Athens

Berlin

I know -. How can I not like Berlin or? I do not hate Berlin, but it does not do anything special for me. I prefer Munich to Berlin. Berlin is also industrially. I'll probably come back one day, but I'm in no hurry. A turtle gets there probably faster than I want. After hearing was so much about the city, I very disappointed, as was mediocre. I enjoy it, although the nightlife. I bit too much

. Note: Since writing this post, I have been back in Berlin and love it now! Here's why I changed my mind.

Los Angeles

This sprawling mega-city is dirty and filled with wannabe actor. After a few sights there is not much here. Los Angeles is a love it or hate it, the city and I hate it. I can not a city in which so little public transportation, wannabee actors, vain rich people, and people love that only care about appearance and botox. The place is bland and insincere. I'll pass by San Francisco and head.

Phuket

People love Phuket and I will not deny that on this large island is more to it than Patong beach. But Phuket is the capital of Thailand island tourism and as such it is expensive and overdeveloped. There are a million other islands in Thailand that are much nicer, pristine, and they lack sex tourists. Give me the beautiful Ko Taruatao National Park in the south every day.

Siem Reap

Boring and overly tourist built, the only good thing about Siem Reap is that Angkor Wat is right there. I think Siem Reap, a city that only exists in Angkor Wat and, as such, a city not worth the time to serve. There life is missing. I loved much more Phnom Penh and would rather lose me there. Siem Reap, it is just not worth it.

Belize City

Nobody stays in Belize City. People fly in and then to anywhere to get the first bus, but it. The city is smitten ugly, dirty and crime. It is one of the few places in the world I felt unsafe in ... during the day. I would love to go back to Belize, but I will never stay in Belize City.

The world is big and just as you do not like all the people you meet, you do not always like the places you go. Sometimes only a place rubs you the wrong way. I try to see the best in every city, but sometimes there is nothing I like. But all the places, considering that I have been in the world, I do not like, so little is very impressive
