The membership in a frequent flyer program

The membership in a frequent flyer program -

A jet airplane flying in the air Back in 08, I entered my first frequent flyer program. Despite traveled for almost two years around the world, I have never seen the value in the application for a - I'd always been concerned with the price more than brand loyalty, so I switched networks and carriers all the time. Lowest Price always won.

Another reason I had never previously enrolled? All my favorite carriers are distributed over different alliances. Japan Airlines (JAL) is in the Oneworld network, while Singapore is at Star Alliance. Emirates Airline, the carrier that makes me most salivate, is to not any these networks.

But in 08, I realized that I would fly more around the world, blogging when I went, it was likely to join a good idea, an airline alliance - Miles collect, earn upgrades and always access to the lounge was probably a good idea for someone who would be every few weeks in an airport.

Over the years I have been a member of all alliances and my opinion on these programs has changed since last year I first wrote them in 08. I wrote about why people are not members should be frequent flyer programs. Sure, you should always sign up for the program to get the points, but if you do not have enough to beat flying status Elite flier, you should base your decision on price. Go with the lowest price and if you do get miles, exchange them for a free flight.

But if you think you'll find it worth doing it enough to fly, you can totally a frequent flyer program should participate. The lowest levels in the program, while not large, usually starting at 20,000 miles flown.

you can get a lot of opinions, read on the program to connect. Some people will say, to connect them all, others will tell you that, to connect with your favorite carrier, and others believe you should connect with the major airline in your hometown. I am the last opinion. The right to join alliance, is the one on which you earn most likely elite status.

This year I changed from Oneworld Star Alliance. I did it because I'm supposed to Europe and the largest airline of Stockholm is to move SAS, a Star Alliance member. But now that I moved back to the States? I switched back to Americans, a Oneworld carrier because they have a hub at JFK and I like them better than United, which is part of the Star Alliance.

I that strongly recommended if you travel a lot go, keep an alliance and earn elite flyer status. Your status will take 14 months, so that even if you do not fly a lot in the next year, you can reap the benefits still for a little while longer.

Nothing is like to see and realize that you can whiz past on or in a cozy lounge with free drinks sitting on the flight experience to make an infinite times better the line for security check-in.
