Off Roading on Fraser Iceland

Off Roading on Fraser Iceland -

Fraser Iceland, located in Queensland, Australia is the largest sand island in the world. It is also one of those on the Australian East Coast travel Trail "must sees". The majority of people who do visit to a 4WD self-drive tour around the island. You 3 days of camping, spend sand getting everywhere, swimming in lakes and rivers, eating, to avoid dingos and drink around the campfire.

to things to do in Fraser Iceland

  • If you have a self-drive tour do you need to bring your own food and alcohol. While there is a small shop in the resort island, it is very expensive and only really should be used in an emergency.
  • If you do a self-drive tour, do not worry if you are traveling alone. You will be placed with a group of fellow travelers and share a car with them. A self-drive tour will cost around 300 AU $ and lasts 3 days, 2 nights.
  • If three days is not your thing with strangers camping, you can do a 1 or 2 day tour. Guides you will all the major attractions on the island. I would save your money and do, although a day trip. I found the two day tour to be too long. Only a few additional pages have been added, but you have many 'dead' time sitting in places. I mean, how long it takes really take the wreck to see?
  • Tours depart from Hervey Bay (northern entry point on the island) or Rainbow Beach (south entrance). Hervey Bay is much bigger to do than Rainbow Beach with more things. Rainbow Beach is a small, small town with a beautiful beach, a few hostels, and some restaurants. It is supposed to be the "main objective Backpacker", but I found that so many people planned to stay in Hervey Bay. If given the choice again, I would stay in Hervey Bay. There just needs to be done.

I had a lot of fun on my trip to Fraser Iceland, and I recommend that anyone who would do for more than a day goes like this. if you go camping there for a few days than to go for just one day, while I was little time, I think it is much better, and to see the highlights.
