My 7 Favorite Travel Blogs 2015

My 7 Favorite Travel Blogs 2015 -

I love travel stories - whether whole books, short stories, or blogs. I can never get enough!

Since I am so often on my computer, I'm always silent on the lookout for new blogs to my literary thirst. I read hundreds of new blogs every year, and most of them that I decide I can live without. But I always find a few gems, and I want the blogs I often present in 2015 began to read:

The blonde abroad

Kiersten website focuses on the interface between fashion and travel. You are tips and advice for women to what to wear, pack, and see while overseas and more focused on high-end, comfortable trip than I did. I think her blog one of the best is for female travelers and, though it has not targeted at me, I find useful information that I share. Kiersten and I are friends, and I love to see grow their site and to expand, especially in the last year. They seem to be everywhere!

Hey Nadine

The popular YouTube channel Nadine Sykora documented their experiences as it travels around the world. Nadine's zany, nerdy when traveling makes watching his videos entertaining! She's funny, smart and a bit awkward, but her film style really brings since the goal with her. There is a reason why it is one of the largest travel channels on YouTube!

View from the Wing

Gary Leff is the "OG" travel hacking. While I read many travel hacking blogs I follow Gary because he provides industry analysis and behind the scenes information about loyalty programs and airlines. Gary do not offer travel stories or share deals and reward opportunities, it gives you context and a better understanding of how to operate travel hacking and airlines.

Skift

This is my go-to for all travel-related news and industry information resources. It breaks stories and provides detailed analysis on the latest trends in travel, both from the business and consumer sides of the industry. If you love to travel as much as I do and think, hear what CEOs must say on revenue and consumer tastes is fun, this is the only site that is worthwhile to read.

BuzzFeed Travel

I am sure you are surprised BuzzFeed listed here to see, but hear me out: sometimes all you want is a little inspirational list that you get through the day. That's BuzzFeed. Its simple, easily digestible stories and portraits by travelers make me feel good. It can not long form writing or lots of practical tips, but it brings inspiration to others, and I'm a fan of his quirky angles and funny stories!

Wandering Earl

My spiritual brother, Earl is a roving nomad backpacker like me. We both love budget traveling, hiking, blogging, and everything in between (and yes, we are good friends in real life). I read Earl blog because he (, anyone Kurdistan?) To places few people ever visit Go tell raw, honest travel reviews that do not sugarcoat the travel experience. Only very few do blogs, and for that, I think he's one of the best travel websites out there. I have to read it for years, and he deserves a function! (He is also one of the few other bloggers I know not sponsored content or traveling accepted!)

Migrationology

Mark and I go back to the days when I live in Bangkok. Mark blogs about food, especially Asian cuisine. He is my food guru when it comes to all things Southeast Asian and has detailed information on where to eat and what to order in the entire region. But more than that, he tells the story of the place and its culture through the food he eats. It is not just about to order what courts. - It's all about how food culture has influenced and vice versa

These seven blogs are not the only ones that I read, and it been a while since I wrote about my favorite travel blogs, here is a list of my favorites from pervious years, which should not be forgotten:

  • Legal Nomads
  • camels & Chocolate
  • Expert Vagabond
  • a backpackers Tale
  • Hecktic Travels
  • captain and Clark
  • roads & Kingdoms
  • Alex in walking
  • Never Ending tracks
  • The points Guy
  • traveling Canucks

there you have it: my current reading list of websites and blogs! I hope that you add to your reading list and enjoy them as much as I do.
