My favorite cities in the world
Although I made a post on my few cities (twice!) Done've, I've realized I've never done a post on my favorite all cities, although longtime readers might be able to guess what I really love. (There are many posts on Stockholm, Paris, Bangkok, is not it?)
Since I have written about the places dislike , I thought it was finally time, about to write the places I love the most. These are my 9 favorite places in the world. (What makes a place my "favorite?" It's a place I'd really consider moving!)
Amsterdam
I can not say exactly how many times I have been to Amsterdam, but it is in the double digits. And for a short time at the end of 06 I lived there as a professional poker player. (Serious). The fast-paced life, friendly locals, easy access to the rest of Europe, picturesque canals and great architecture always get me back. In some ways, Amsterdam reminds me of my hometown of Boston, which could be why I love it so much. Either way, I have never set foot in Europe continued, without plans to go there
favorite activity: .. through the channels with friends Boating

Paris
since I stepped on the Champs-Elysées, I knew it was Paris. I was in love. It was that that people talked "je ne sais quoi" about it, and I was not ignoring his magic capable. Sure, Paris can be large and expensive, and people unfriendly. But what big city is that not like? Paris is just too beautiful, vibrant, and filled with good food and history. to be is here to be a romantic comedy like in a real life, but better
favorite activity: .. a good meal on the market picking up and having a picnic

Bangkok
I hated Bangkok the first few times I traveled there. It was just a dirty, polluted city without redeeming qualities. It was not until I moved there, that I fell in love with her. Bangkok, it turns out, an easy city to live in - there's a lot to do, many events, great bars (Cheap Charlies), wonderful food (nothing beats food Thailand Street), and even more wonderful people. Moreover, it is easy to get around. Bangkok showed me that looks can be deceiving, and that there is more to a city than what is on the surface. I loved my time living there
favorite activity: ... gin and tonics at cheap Charlies

Stockholm
I have a strong affinity for all things Scandinavian and Stockholm is no exception. I have three times and am thinking it to move next summer to learn Swedish. I think this city one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. The reds and greens of the buildings of old world charm, the cities like Prague rivals, and in autumn, leaves changing mark only that beauty. Stockholm is also very historic, has a high quality of life, and Sweden in the town are super friendly and welcoming. I

I big city life was never to liked in New York really after I lived in Bangkok and used. Well, if it I decide to move back to the United States, I'm going to move to New York City. I lived there last summer and came every week between trips around the US New York City back is a place to be made on the dreams into reality, and there is always something to do, something to see, or a new place to eat. The town is so multicultural that if I do that I have to travel a feeling, but I can not, there is an ethnic area of the city, give me my fix. Moreover, it is to stimulate repeatedly. And as someone who can not sit still very good, it is perfect for me

Chicago
to NYC, Chicago is my favorite US city. In summer there is just something about Chicago that attracts me. This lake-side city seems to come alive after he arises from his long and cold winter. Together with its lively atmosphere, because the food is delicious and the architecture is unmatched. I've only been there twice and have not seen much of the city, but I like what I've seen. I never get bored Chicago visit
favorite pastime:.! Cub game
Vancouver
I think this must be one of the most livable cities in the world. I would live in it, which is my benchmark, if I like a place. In Vancouver, you can go out of town in the mountains in a few minutes. I think that really is the highlight of the city is for me - the fact that I do not have to go far to be with nature. In addition, there is a park as big in the center of town, I often feel that I am in the middle of a forest. Add in a vibrant food and art scene, and Vancouver is definitely a world-class city
favorite activity: .. Hanging out on Granville Iceland or walk around the Stanley Park (tie)
Queenstown
South Island of New Zealand mountains Situated in the stunning, Queenstown is a place for adventure. There are bungee jumping, hiking, rafting, zip lining, boating, and tons more. People come here because they want to be outside. Located on a lake near the Remarkable mountain range, Queenstown is a high-energy health resort. It is small, more beautiful than a postcard, and ideal for people who love nature. I would jump on a plane and head back there right now if I could
favorite activity: .. hiking in the surrounding mountains
Perth
Perth, Australia is more like a big city as a city, and I think that's what I like. It is large enough to have a lot to do, but small enough to feel cozy. I love Perth for this small town feel big city, the fact that it is on the water and an exciting nightlife has that it's a big jump-off place to see the Western Australian parks and natural sites, and that in the nearby hip Fremantle, home of my favorite Australian brewery, Little Creatures. I find it much more personal than other Australian cities
