He was introduced by all news publication under the sun and to give regularly on television travel tips. I have been in awe of him always. I recently spoke with him about ways consumers could save money on flights and short trips:
Nomadic Matt: What has Johnny Jet start
Johnny Jet: It's a long story, but I used to be afraid to fly and also afraid to leave the house. Once I overcame my fear, I wanted my experiences and show people to share what's out there. The Internet was new and there was not there a site that had all kinds of travel-related information, so I created JohnnyJet.com just for fun and the next thing you know, it took.
Have you ever thought it would be your life? Was there something you wanted to do?
It was my wildest dream. When I started the site for fun, I was a college recruiter, travel a lot and to share my experiences. I never thought I would be able to travel the world, share my experiences and to make money. called Seven months after this site launched, I quit my job and. on the site full-time
Can you tell people what Johnny Jet goes. What do you think its for the traveler?
It began as a newsletter with travel news, tips, deals and my personal stories. One of the main features is the travel portal ever created virtually all worthy lists travel site, allowing travelers to see what is out there and help them to reduce their costs. I want it to be the one-stop shop for travel, and I want to be a household name. I have to do a lot of work!
They move differently than I do, take more shorter trips. What are your Top 3 Tips for taking a two-week vacation?
1. In two weeks, you can basically go anywhere in the world - you do not think that there is not time enough to go to half or even around the world - this is can be done easily , The most important thing is that you out there and see the world. 2. set for only one week and only pack carry-on, so that you can easily take public transport and do not have to pay baggage fees or airlines lose your bags to care. When it's time to wash your clothes, do it in your tub or take it to a local laundromat; not send them to the hotel laundry. 3. have been some of my favorite two-week vacation, when I fly to a destination, spend 2-3 days and then go on a week-long cruise. Then I give 2-3 nights in this port city before flying home.
How much does it flexible game, a part? Most working Americans book their holidays months in advance.
flexibility is to find all offers.
Since you are Johnny Jet, how many miles you fly per year? Stick to only one airline alliance?
I usually fly about 150,000 miles per year. I used to but no longer remain only to Great. Last year I flew 33 different airlines. This year I have 10 different flown. So my goal is to make elite status on an airline from each of the three major alliances each year, so I status on United (Star Alliance), Delta (SkyTeam), American (OneWorld).
They believe that each alliance is better than the other?
Star alliance, since they have more airlines and destinations.
airline speaking, what is your favorite?
I have no favorite, but I think Air New Zealand, Virgin America, JetBlue, Jet Airways, Etihad, Emirates, Singapore, Cathay and Qantas.
What should people looking at a major airline in deciding who fly?
choose an airline that is based from your nearest airport. So if you live in Phoenix, you should choose America West, as it has a ton of flights from there and most likely do not need to connect to get a goal. It all depends on what you are looking for: Security - then with a reliable airline go. Price - select an airline that has competitive prices. Dates - choose an airline that a lot of flights to the destination has (s) that you are going. Frequent flyer program - you can earn miles for a free flight or reach elite status, so you can upgrade? Comfort - the airline company have plenty of leg room? do they have clean aircraft and the state of the art entertainment systems? There are so many variables that it all depends on what you're looking.

Then bring a pair of jeans and a pair of dress pants, swimsuit, a few pairs of shorts (when to go on a hot weather destination), two T-shirts (solid colors - no logos or phrases), a sweater, a dinner jacket , a pair of hiking boots and dress shoes, a couple of shirts pressed and your toiletries.
