As the sharing economy use on a budget

As the sharing economy use on a budget -

The Internet has changed travel to travel. Although it (how many people see it only needs checking Facebook in a hostel to agree) not always for the better, it has allowed people to share, connect to, and have been working in a way that is not possible - even just a few years ago.

and for budget travelers and culture, this change has been terrific. The rise of the sharing economy on the Internet has been a boon for travelers as it can save us money to facilitate locals, you get to travel and see the local pace of life better! It makes the trip ideal so much more accessible.

come with hundreds of start-ups and in the new Travel sharing economy going, here are some excellent sites and services are (some old, some new), which you can use to travel cheaply and with locals:

Hospitality networks

couchsurfing login
Hospitality networks have been around for decades, but were really made popular with the creation of CouchSurfing. Founded in 04, the old standby really took advantage of the Internet. It connects travelers with locals who are willing to stay them a free place (bed, room, floor, etc.) and to give a local perspective on a destination. It is to be used as a form of cultural exchange and is used by travelers of all ages used (and families too!). It popular hospitality networks with 7 million members is now the largest. Not only that, it's a value resource to meet with locals (you can find a lot of group meet-ups on the website), even if you do not plan to stay with someone.

Apartments

airbnb homepage
hotels are expensive and perhaps Hostels are not your thing, so what is the next best choice? Hire someone's apartment (or room in it)! On Urbanization / rental sites you can at much cheaper prices than a hotel room, a room, couch, or whole apartment for rent. Plus, you get a local host, you have to show to prepare and a kitchen meals. It is the best compromise between hostels (and CouchSurfing) and hotels. I think Airbnb most robust inventory has a place in a home for the search, and I pull the most when it is important to always check all rental sites, because unlike hotel websites where properties across multiple sites appear, listing at the owner's discretion are and some owners list their property include similar services only on a website

Need a ride? Look at Lyft and get locals to pick up and drop you off where you need to go. It is about 30% cheaper than a taxi, although rates "proposed" donations and the companies take a commission. I prefer to Uber, because they are not as high shock attractive price (ie increased rates during busy times), it is not a car rental, and there is less formal - the drivers are more likely to interact with you and Share what's going on in the field! The downside is that Lyft now based in the US only during Uber is global.
