Airline reviewed British Airways -

A view of British Airways' first class interior space The first time I flew British Airways (BA) I 100,000 miles I have received by signing up for their credit card, redeemed, the points for a first-class ticket, and enjoyed serious luxury on the way to New York City from London. I remember asking if I could walk around the aircraft to see what the other cabins were like, and our flight attendants (first class has its own) said to me. "Matt, you are first you can do what you want. "Although I have long forgotten his name, I'll never forget line.

in first class tickets was an experience I hope to repeat someday. But I hate to judge airlines by their first-class service, as most people flying business and first class should always be good, regardless of the airline. I judge the airlines especially in their economy class, because that is where I and most other travelers usually fly. So I was eager BA fly again and see how the conditions in the back of the plane were.

While in Europe in recent months I have had a chance to BA often fly. I really enjoyed it. In fact, I think it's one of the better partner in the Oneworld Alliance.

The disadvantage of BA is that it is very expensive. The ticket prices are never cheap, and it always seems a lot of taxes and fees are added. In addition, if you book an award ticket, you still have to pay the high fees. My first class ticket was not really free, despite the miles that I used. I still had to pay over $ 275 USD in taxes.

However, I have always enjoyed the service on BA aircraft and on the ground. The staff is not more or less friendly than any other airline. BA cabin crew are to usually get a bad reputation because they always appear to be flashy, but my experience with them has always been positive. They are not the super-duper, jump-in-your-face friendly staff of most Asian carriers, but they are not rude staff of US Airways, either. If you need anything, they are there, and that's really all I want from my aircrew.

The interiors of most BA aircraft are comfortable and spacious generally. Last year, newly they designed their first-class section, and I was lucky enough to be on one of these new aircraft. It was wonderful. But even in economy class, I found the interior much more modern and more comfortable than many other airlines. Your new Embraer 170/10 is a few years old and has an eye like interior, comfortable seats and a decent amount of legroom. Unfortunately, in many of its Airbus aircraft in Europe, you will find that the interior is old and shabby. You do not have to do a lot of work in the modernization of its fleet. At its large long-haul jets, it is rather hit-or-miss, but at least get a personal TV, which is something that you do not get on most US airlines.

An interior view of the first class section on a British Airways flight Another complaint with BA old planes that although I had legroom, their seats are a bit still small. I'd hate to be a really great person on their flights. They are upgrading their 777 fleet soon, though, so hopefully that the footwell to improve.

As for the food? Well, in the first class, it was quite tasty, and made the endless glasses of wine for a really pleasant flight to New York. But on the economy-class flights I took, I can not say I was very impressed. I had nothing on a long-haul international flight of their food, but the food on its short-haul flights across Europe consisted of a very mini-can of Coke and a sandwich I do not even sell 7-11 would.

Total British Airways a good but not great, airline. I would not go through the tire to it as I would fly Air New Zealand, Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, or many other airlines. But I would not skip it, either. In fact, as American Airlines missing personal TV screens in economy class, am I fly British Airways only across the Atlantic. Compared to other European airlines, I think it's better than KLM, Finn Air, Olympic, Aegean and TAP.

So I would recommend British Airways? Yes, but considering how many airlines it partner, I suggest having one of its partner airlines to avoid high tariffs and monstrous taxes and charges Booking BA. It always seems a few hundred dollars more expensive than other bars to be. But at least you have to get a comfortable ride.
