The Palace of Versailles
Before I left, I bought a nice digital camcorder, so that I can start to do videos on the blog. Now, the time has come for my first video. Please be in your critiques- I AEOM still learning how to do these things and edit. So, without further ado, here, AEOS my first video on the Palace of Versailles, the former palace of French kings outside of Paris, France:
things to do in the Palace of Versailles
- , Get early, the queue is moving really long through security.
- The gardens are free on weekdays and at 8 euros on weekends.
- many restaurants there are round-expensive. If you sit in the palace and plan to eat, expect around 20 Euros to pay.
- Most people see the palace first, then the gardens, then Marie-Antoinette, AEOS Estate. Go to avoid the biggest crowds in the reverse order.
- Get a Paris museum card and only in the ticket lines on the waiting list. In addition, the pass is great value, because you get with it in many other museums. It saved me about 15 euros.
- The audio guide for the palace is O. K. If you really want to save money, has Rick Steve, AEOS a free audio guide which was pretty good, despite some corny jokes.
- Hardly anyone visits the apartments of the Dauphin and the Dauphine in the palace. Equally beautiful and without the crowds.
- Most of the Palace is closed on Monday. Go Don, Äôt on Monday.
